The Bella 3001 at 4.2oz, Next Level 3600 at 4.3oz combed ring-spun, and Next Level 6210 CVC at 4.5oz 60/40 are the three most-ordered premium blanks in the decorator market, and each has a different hand feel, shrinkage rate, and DTF behavior.

The weight difference between the 3001 and 3600 is negligible in practice. Both are lightweight, soft, premium-retail tees. The 6210 is slightly heavier and has a different texture due to the polyester content, giving it a hint of stretch and a slightly silkier hand feel than either cotton tee.
Hand Feel and Retail Positioning
The Bella 3001 has the softest initial hand feel of the three because Airlume cotton is a proprietary process that removes a higher percentage of impurities from the fiber before spinning. The 3600 is very close in softness but slightly different in texture, with a slightly denser weave that gives it more opacity at thinner gauges.
The 6210 CVC has a smooth, slightly synthetic feel due to the polyester content. It is not unpleasant, but customers who are used to 100% cotton can feel the difference. The benefit is that the 6210 has better stretch recovery, wrinkles less, and holds its shape better than either cotton tee.
DTF Press Behavior
For the 3001 and 3600, press at 315°F for 14-15 seconds at slightly below medium pressure. Both are 100% cotton with no dye migration risk. The lightweight fabric heats quickly, so 14 seconds is sufficient in most conditions. Do not press at full medium pressure. The thin fabric does not need it and over-compression can make the print feel stiff.
For the 6210 CVC, press at 295-305°F for 15 seconds at medium pressure. The 40% polyester content requires poly blocker on white, cream, or light gray colorways. The slightly heavier weight needs the full 15 seconds. Missing either the lower temperature or the poly blocker on a light 6210 will produce visible dye migration within 10 washes.
Which to Choose
Choose the 3001 for boutique and lifestyle brands where hand feel and brand perception are primary. It is the go-to premium blank for a reason. Choose the 3600 when you want a slightly more body-conscious fit at essentially the same price point. The 3600 runs slightly more fitted than the 3001 in the shoulders and chest.
Choose the 6210 when your customer needs a tee that holds its shape better through repeated washing, resists wrinkles, or needs a slight stretch component.
